For Filmmakers who have just completed a short film, MANHATTAN SHORT is designed to introduce you to your future audience. Just about every Art House Cinema across the United States takes part in the Festival each year. These are the cinemas where your future feature films are likely to be shown and the audiences who have already been exposed to your work will gather to seek out your new work. MANHATTAN SHORT is all about bringing that audience to you and you to them. You provide the fantastic films, and we will take care of the introductions.
For Our Audience of film lovers everywhere, MANHATTAN SHORT is your chance to see the next generation of filmmakers from around the world. Over the past ten years six of our films were nominated for Oscars in the short film catagory. Many of our finalists have gone on to make notable feature films and we are big believers in the notion that it is "The Public that creates stars". And for a short film there is no bigger public then our audience - the worldwide public of MANHATTAN SHORT.
NOTE: MANHATTAN SHORT is NOT an ONLINE Film Festival. Films are distributed to our individual partnering cinemas throughout the world. MANHATTAN SHORT is not a Touring nor traveling Film Festival...it is the World's first Global Film Festival, taking place in over 200 cities across 6 continents during one week. For a filmmaker who wants to get their short film out there, there is no better avenue than MANHATTAN SHORT.
Our partnering cinemas are situated in Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa, South America and North America, including venues in all 50 States of the United States. MANHATTAN SHORT is the first film festival to ever take place in all 50 States of the USA.

How do I enter my film for the 2012 Festival?
Simply click on Film Entry 2012 on the left, fill out your information and hit submit. An entry form will then be emailed to you. The deadline for entries is the same date each year which is July 31st 2012.
Find a Venue Near You.
On the menu bar on the left hand side you will see the link VENUES & SCREENINGS. Simply click on that link. Once opened you will see the sub-menu for continents, countries and regions around the world. Click on which one applies to you and to find a venue near you. You Be the Judge!
The Judges of the Finalists Films are you. Audiences at each venue will be handed a voting card upon entry to each cinema and asked to vote for the ONE film they think should win. Votes are tallied by each cinema and sent through to MANHATTAN SHORT HQ where the winner is announced on Sunday October 7th in NYC
Nominate A Venue!
On the sub-menu bar above you will see the link Nominate A Venue. Click on that link and type in the name of a venue near you that we should know about. We will contact that venue to encourage them to get involved in the Festival.
Join Your Local Mailing list
If the Festival is screening in your area we urge you join your local mailing list by clicking on JOIN THE MAILING LIST on the side bar menu. Mailing lists are broken down to into States with the USA, Provinces in Canada, States in Australia, and other Countries We highly recommend joining the mailing list as there are over 150 cities involved in the project and in some towns the press doesn't always pick up on all of the MANHATTAN SHORT news.
How Do I Find Out who the winner is?
The winners of the 2012 MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival will be announced in the Press Center on Sunday October 7th at 10:00 pm EST
